Acrylic on canvas board; 34cm x 39.5cm, framed. Hmm, no idea what fuchsia this is; obviously kicking myself for not also photographing the exhibit card at the same time I photographed the actual plant. Have therefore avoided embarrassing ignorance by giving this an ambiguous title (it was actually the third fuchsia painting I had done but am also quite happy to call this ‘Study in Red and Purple’ if that sounds less pretentious). Still, a gorgeous fuchsia and a pleasure to paint. £70
I really like the way you have painted the glossy leaves and outside petals, Mel. They really jump of the painting.
