Devil's Tower
Watercolour and ink on watercolour paper. Image needs updating as now mounted and framed in black. Measures 28.5cm x 36cm framed. Been completely obsessed with this ever since I first saw Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Unlike Roy, I have not built one in my lounge. If I ever go to America, this is my first stop. £60

Acrylic on canvas board; image requires updating as now framed. Mounted on white board with white frame, measures 29cm x 34.5cm framed. One of my fuchsias; lucky I painted it, as it died once I transferred it to my front garden. Apparently, it can grow to a reasonable size with an abundance of flowers. £55

Oil on canvas. Early attempt with oils. We wanted a big painting which captured our holiday in the Cilento region so I put together a montage of photos we'd taken to create one complete scene. It was either this or a three-foot montage of ice creams. Not for sale.

Acrylic on canvas board; 34cm x 39.5cm, framed. Have therefore avoided embarrassing ignorance by giving this an ambiguous title (it was actually the third fuchsia painting I had done but am also quite happy to call this 'Study in Red and Purple' if that sounds less pretentious). Still, a gorgeous fuchsia and a pleasure to paint. ...

Acrylic on block canvas; 14.5cm x 14.5cm, 3.5cm deep. Anyone know what fuchsia this is? Could be a Lillian Annetts but not entirely sure. To the untrained eye, many fuchsias look the same but as there are over 10,000 varieties of fuchsia, identifying a flower I once saw in a show is like trying to find a specific needle in a massive stack of needles. £35

Acrylic on canvas frame; 20.5cm x 29cm. The image doesn't do justice to the painting and the painting doesn't truly do justice to the flower. A gorgeous fuchsia making me feel privileged to know the grower and an absolute joy to paint. £65

Acrylic on canvas frame; 20cm x 25cm. Wish I'd grown this but, alas, it was someone else's and I just took a photo of it. Great to paint, though. £65
