Abstract Tree

The beech tree This is a beech tree because I say it is and because I have changed the form and perspective by interpreting the esoteric qualities of the existential components into a contemporary manifestation of symbiotic juxtaposition between the natural world and the metaphysical accidents of the mind.  It will be a beech tree until I decide it isn’t, when it will then return to being a plate of baked beans. Not really.  It’s just some lines and colours.

Mohawk Eddie

Eddie Massive Iron Maiden fan and Derek Riggs is a legend.  Obviously I copied this from Somewhere In Time; did this when I was 15 and just fancied seeing what Eddie would look like with a mohawk.  (Sorry Derek.)

Zombie

Zombie Yep, I admit I copied this from the excellent Fighting Fantasy adventure book, House of Hell, when I was about 13.  I loved those books and had most of them when I was a teenager (a few decades on I've still got my absolute faves and yes, I still do them occasionally, but I couldn't see the point in growing up, it sounds boring).  The artwork in these books is awesome and I used to copy quite a few of the pictures.  I got those water-soluble felt pens for Christmas probably the sam...

Discs Fineliner on watercolour paper.  Someone pointed out to me years ago that I didn't have any abstract stuff in my portfolio.  Not a huge fan of abstract art but they had a fair point and doing this picture was a lot of fun.
