Macarons - Acrylic on acrylic paper Oh, how I loved painting this! It's right up my street. The only downside was that I was copying someone else's photo, not mine. (Which obviously means they got to eat them, and I firmly condone eating your subject matter providing it's food of course, and not famous landmarks, or shoes. Etcetera. Anyway...) This was an excellent challenge posted on Instagram which I could not refuse seeing as sweet stuff is probably my favourite subject to pain...

Quality Street Acrylic on canvas board, mounted on white in a black frame.  Measures 66cm x 56cm framed. So much fun painting this!  Lovely colours, different textures... nothing at all to do with having to eat the whole tin (in the name of art) and also managed not to drool on the painting while I was doing it, which always helps.        £200

Fondant Fancies Acrylic on canvas board; currently being framed but finished article will measure approx 66cm x 55cm.  The hardest thing about this painting was not eating all three packets of these delightful little things before taking the photo but I made short work of them afterwards and frankly, it was a sacrifice I was willing to make.                 £200
